Developmental Appreciative Navigation Approach
DANA is a structured and validated conversational methodology, developed within the hospital setting by Annemiek Nooteboom. It builds on Appreciative Inquiry and solution-focused coaching, both derived from Positive Psychology, to systematically identify and expand the most effective elements of the individual and the organization.
Developed in conjunction with the research group Professional Performance & Compassionate Care of the Amsterdam UMC, it is used to train Professional Development Coaches for medical specialists.
About
Annemiek Nooteboom
Growing up in a family with a surgeon as a father and an obstetrician as a mother, Annemiek has been connected to the medical world from an early age. She holds a master's degree in psychology and a bachelor's degree in management, and integrates training concepts from the medical and aviation world.
She worked at the Amsterdam Academic Medical Center as a trainer, psychologist and program leader, and can easily relate to the position and situation of clinically working professionals.
“Entertaining, inspiring, surprising — in a word: I loved it.”
